Meri Beat Mera Abhiman: Strengthening Frontline Capacity in Gandhi Sagar

Frontline forest staff play a critical role in protecting wildlife, responding to emerging challenges and maintaining day-to-day conservation efforts on the ground. Strengthening their skills and confidence is therefore essential for effective landscape management.

Under the Meri Beat Mera Abhimaan (MBMA) initiative, 23 beat guards in the Gandhi Sagar landscape were trained with a focus on communication, teamwork and conflict resolution.

The training aimed to strengthen interpersonal and field-level skills that are important for effective coordination and decision-making. By building the capacity of beat guards, the initiative contributes to stronger frontline teams and more effective engagement with communities and other stakeholders.

Investing in frontline personnel is an important part of strengthening conservation efforts and supporting those who work closely with the landscape every day.
